5 things we’re #thankful for at Spitfire this year

This time of year I can’t help but reflect on all of the incredible gifts the Spitfire team and I have received. In the early days of Spitfire, I worked out of my home on an old laptop, serving just one client and relentlessly pitching Spitfire services to everyone I met. Now, just four years later, Spitfire has grown into a full-fledged social marketing agency.

In 2014 we more than doubled the number of accounts we serve, hired sales, marketing and content specialists, opened a new office, and expanded to serve clients in Colorado, Arizona and New York. So as this holiday week winds down and I start prepping for Thanksgiving, I wanted to share a few of the things I’m most thankful this year.

More places to connect our clients with their customers. Thanks to a growing landscape of social media platforms, there are now more ways than ever before for us to connect with our clients’ customers and communities. This year we expanded our offerings to include YouTube, Yelp and Pinterest account management, and significantly increased the number of clients who are using Instagram to share the creativity behind their brands. As a result, our clients discovered new ways to engage with their customers and continue the offline conversation online.

Small business leaders who believe in the power of social media.  One of the most incredible things about Spitfire’s clients is that each of the business leaders we work with understand the value of social media. But this year I’m particularly impressed by the number of small business executives who have come to see social media as a competitive advantage. The support they’ve given us to educate their teams and try new things has been powerful, and it makes me even more excited for what’s ahead.

Our friends and family that have helped Spitfire grow. In order to grow Spitfire into the company I knew it could be, the team and I have spent a lot of weekends, late nights and early mornings in meetings, at conferences, and traveling to meet clients. Without the support of our friends and family, there’s no way we could have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time. Whether it was my sister Jodi offering her business expertise to help Spitfire hire our first salesperson, or the team of friends and family that spent a weekend decking out the new Spitfire office, we couldn’t have done it without their support.

New office space! Speaking of that new space, this year Spitfire moved into a beautiful new office in Tivoli Village. It’s exhilarating to be surrounded by so many other business owners who are determined to bring something special to the area, and I’m constantly inspired by how strong small business community is in Las Vegas. Plus, we’re walking distance from amazing shops and restaurants. So, if you’re reading this and planning to be in the neighborhood give me a shout. Happy Hour is on Spitfire 😉

The best clients in the world. I had to save the best for last. Spitfire has beenprivileged to work with clients who trust us to keep their best interests at heart, and inspire us to create exciting new ways to build their communities. This year has been no exception. Despite having doubled the number of accounts we serve, we’re all still excited everyday to create promotions and posts that are unique and interesting for each of our clients. It’s a joy to serve you.
